Deepen your grasp of current Kambo science and the physiological mechanisms that are supported by research.
Kambo is still in its infancy in the West, both in practice and in scientific exploration. At the same time, misinformation has spread rapidly, often repeated with confidence but without critical examination. While many claim that Kambo is “well researched,” the reality is far more nuanced. The existing scientific literature is limited, highly specific, and frequently misinterpreted by those without the training to properly evaluate it.
As more training programs adopt “science-forward” language, inaccurate explanations and unsupported claims continue to circulate, creating an echo chamber that weakens the credibility of this emerging field.
This minicourse was created for those who value intellectual honesty and critical thinking. Whether you are Kambo-curious or a seasoned practitioner, if you believe that spiritual tools deserve thoughtful, evidence-based exploration, this course will give you the clarity you’ve been looking for.
Taught by leading Kambo researcher Caitlin Thompson, this two-module, 90-minute course offers a detailed and current synthesis of the scientific literature, including what is known (and not known) about the mechanistic properties of the peptides identified in Phyllomedusa bicolor.
If you are ready to move beyond recycled talking points and develop a more grounded understanding of Kambo’s physiological impact — and where research is genuinely heading — enroll today and watch at your own pace.
Our courses are taught by leading authorities in the field of Kambo and healing arts held to the highest standard of accuracy and integrity.
You get to decide how quickly you want to move through the course, allowing you to fit it into any schedule.
The more you know, the more you are empowered with discernment and equipped for solid leadership in your communities.
In this module, we examine the current body of scientific literature on Kambo and carefully explore what conclusions can — and cannot — be drawn from it in relation to human ritualized use. Rather than relying on secondhand summaries or popular interpretations, we go directly to the source material and assess the quality, scope, and limitations of existing research.
You’ll learn how to distinguish between in vitro studies, animal models, and human-relevant evidence — and why that distinction matters. We explore how mechanistic findings are often extrapolated beyond what the data actually supports, and how to evaluate scientific claims with greater precision.
This module also includes a foundational primer in pharmacology, introducing receptor binding dynamics, peptide analogues, signaling cascades, and core biochemical pathways involved in human physiology. These concepts are presented clearly and accessibly, equipping you with the scientific literacy needed to interpret research without distortion.
By the end of this module, you will not only understand what research currently exists — but also how to responsibly think about it in the context of practice, safety, and emerging inquiry.
This module dives deeply into the identified peptide families found in Phyllomedusa bicolor and examines their mechanisms of action at the molecular level. We explore receptor subtypes, downstream biochemical signaling pathways, and the physiological roles these compounds may play within the context of a Kambo session.
You will learn how each peptide interacts with specific biological systems, what is currently supported by research, where extrapolation begins, and where genuine uncertainty remains. Particular attention is given to translating mechanistic insight into practical considerations — including contraindications, medication interactions, and safety screening.
By the end of this module, you will have a far more grounded and nuanced understanding of the biological activity of Kambo peptides — and the discernment needed to evaluate claims with scientific clarity.
is a seasoned international Kambo practitioner having served over 2,200 clients with a specialty in Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions and other chronic illnesses. Caitlin came to her specialty through conquering her own personal battle with Lyme disease, Lupus and chronic illness symptoms.
Caitlin is formally educated as a neurobiologist and is a research associate at UCSD School of Medicine. She operates as an independent scientific researcher with her previous studies focusing on psychedelics and their potential for treating autoimmune conditions and the prebiotic effects of herbs on the human microbiome. She is currently pioneering some of the first human studies on Kambo.
Caitlin has been featured in over 80+ podcasts, interviews, conferences, speaking engagements and even international television appearances as a leading Kambo expert. Her set of skills makes her uniquely qualified to integrate the art and magic of Kambo with the scientific world.
Our number one priority is to provide thorough training programs that produces competent and confident Kambo practitioners devoted to safe and ethical practices. We embrace diversity, innovation, critical thinking, inclusivity and creative freedom in support of our highest value of “Do no harm”. We believe in science and spirituality and see the importance of integrating the two. Our philosophies encourage minds to challenge dogma, celebrate humility, and serve our communities with integrity.
Our curriculum bridges the gap between science and spirit, integrating the best from both traditional knowledge and modern needs.
Giving back to indigenous communities through direct fair-trade supply sourcing, philanthropic projects, and mutually supportive cultural exchanges.
Our programs prioritizes safe practices and harm reduction. We are one of the only programs to include CPR and first aid training.
